Cultivating Psychological Safety in Teams
The principles and tools demonstrated in this session will enable physician and scientist leaders to create a space in which team members feel safe to speak up and contribute, which in turn will promote optimal team functioning, innovation and learning.
Coaching for GROWth
Coaching is a form of mentoring that focuses more on asking and listening and less on advising and expertise. This session provides tangible tools for coaching your team members and mentees in order to develop their careers and areas of expertise, plus several “real-life” cases to operationalize these tools into practice.
Giving Effective Feedback: ASK First
This session focuses on preparing and delivering feedback. We provide a simple framework for feedback delivery and guidance for taking constructive feedback to the next level.
Navigating Challenging Conversations
This session demonstrates communication skills and tools to develop comfort and competence in handling the most difficult and often most important conversations. The skills learned will enable physician and scientist leaders to be effective in initiating and managing challenging conversations in a way that can lead to fruitful results with colleagues, supervisors, and supervisees.
Stress Management for Leaders
Participants will learn to differentiate among the four states of the stress continuum model and gain insight into tools such as practicing realistic optimism and daily gratitude.
Intersecting Identities and Microaggressions
